Welcome to the Du Bose Home Page
We believe that training horses is a superior developed
and delicate form of awareness; where you become one with the horse. The trainer
has to develop into a very shrewd observer, who observes the different mental
and physical states of the horse.
We feel that the horse trainer is a creative artist.
A creative person is one who can process imaginatively the information present--in
the mundane everyday things we see, hear and feel. Just as a writer uses words,
a musician uses notes, or an artist sees visual perception, then a horse trainer
must feel the mental and physical states of the horse.
We hold to the belief that there are two ways of thinking
or communicating; one verbal and one non verbal. Thus, communication with the
horse must be on his level [non verbal] and from his mental and physical perspective.
The most important thing to the horse is preservation, self preservation of
his body, mind and spirit.

The Texian Horses was first described and named in
an article in the Austin City Gazette on July 25,1840
- Which stated the results of these crosses [ Mustang and Quarter horse or
Thoroughbred ] were far superior to to any other breed. They were said to
combine more action, hardiness and kindness of disposition than any other.
The author claimed the crosses were in all ways superior to other American
and European Horses. He stated that the cross breed be named "Texian
Horses". Click the following hyper link, www.conquistador.com, to find information about Mustangs and some links to
